The PurePouch^TM machine has a wide range of pouch size capability. Approximately how long does it take to change from one size of roll stock to another size?

Approximate time 5 minutes. Actions required to change pouch size include unload old/load new roll stock, thread machine, adjust slitting location, adjust shear/seal mechanism location.

I need to validate certain parameters of my process. Does the PurePouch^TM machine provide any assistance in this process?

The PurePouch^TM was designed to be “validation friendly”. A seal pressure port and a seal temperature thermocouple port are readily accessible from the front panel. This allows calibrated gauges or temperature devices to connect to the process and document these critical variables. Dwell time of the sealing bar is available through a set of isolated contacts closed during sealing.

I understand that the PurePouch^TM machine uses a slitting mechanism to open the pouches and a shear to separate the individual pouches from the roll. How has safety been addressed to prevent injury in these areas?

Answer: The PurePouch^TM machine uses hard guarding in the slitter area made up of clear Lexan® material. This guard is removed with ordinary hand tools allowing access to slitter adjustments. The shear and seal area of the machine is accessed through an interlocked door for maintenance purposes. The positioning adjustment for the shear/seal mechanism is located outside of the machine frame and can be operated with no safety issues.

What warranty is provided on the PurePouch^TM machine?

A one year limited warranty is provided covering defective components or materials. PurePouch LLC will repair or replace at it’s option such defective components. Customer site removal and reinstallation of these components is not covered nor is normal wear and tear. A written warranty is available on request.

What type of materials can the PurePouch^TM run?

The PurePouch^TM has been used with Tyvek^TMPoly, Poly/Poly, and Foil/Foil laminated pouches.

What level of support and service can I expect from PurePouch LLC?

PurePouch LLC maintains a toll free service number that provides access to the technicians and designers of the PurePouch machine. We can assist in setup and calibration over the telephone or via email. We have an exchange program for shear blades and stock replacement slitting blades. We can provide major repair or rebuilds in our shop in Minnesota.

I need to print barcode and date code information on my pouches as they are filled. Can PurePouch^TM accommodate my needs?

We have several one-color thermal transfer print options available. Either side of the pouch can be printed.

I understand that the base PurePouch^TM machine requires hand loading of material into the opened pouch. What are my options if I need additional automation to feed and load parts without human intervention?

PurePouch LLC has the capability of providing that additional automation. We have several applications in the field where we have handled and converted materials and then loaded directly into the pouch. We would be pleased to review your needs and provide a custom solution.
